What distinguishes this prostate cancer book from the many others available to men with this disease? A unique physician-patient conversational interaction with the thought processes of each expressed, explained and examined. Dr. Roger Schultz and Mr. Oliver’s real life interaction addresses informational and emotional issues common to almost all patients who learn of their prostate cancer diagnoses.—Paul F. Schellhammer, M.D., professor and chairman, Dept. of Urology, Eastern Virginia Medical School; American Urological Association president, 2007-2008

The writers of this book received an American Cancer Society Virginia media award in 1998. The program explored the issues related to prostate cancer in a pioneering way by bringing the expert physician point of view together with the cancer patient’s point of view. [This] book will give men an insightful perspective about facing and living with this disease in partnership with their physicians.—Chris Green, asst. communications director, American Cancer Society, mid-Atlantic division
